BELLYDANCING WITH EMMA CHAPMAN

 emma c

Beginners: Monday from 7 30 - 9 p.m.
Improvers: Wednesday from 6 - 7 30 p.m.

Emma Chapman is an experienced performer and teacher of Egyptian bellydance who has been running popular courses in Cambridge for almost two years. She trained at the Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance.

Bellydance is characterised by intricate hip movements and graceful arms. The movements are very natural and work with the body, making this a dance suitable for every body type.

The beginners' course introduces students to the fundamentals of bellydance technique and posture. They also learn about some of the different styles of music and dance seen in Egypt. The improvers' course is aimed at dancers with some experience (at least two terms at beginner level) and students build on the basic movements to learn more complex techniques.

Each course lasts for ten weeks, during which students learn a complete choreographed dance and are also encouraged to develop improvisational skills. Please contact Emma on emma.chapman40@ntlworld.com for further details or go to www.emmabellydancer.co.uk
