C4 TRIO
8.00pm - 9.00pm
Why go to a pub when you can come, relax, and enjoy a drink or a meal (optional) with these fantastic young cuatro guitar players all the way from Venezuela - courtesy of the Government of Venezuela
A cuatro concert of traditional and experimental Venezuelan music. With Jorge Glem, Héctor Molina, and Edward Ramírez, playing the cuatro a four strings guitare. The C4 Trío was born following a competition called “Seeding the Cuatro”, when these three immensely talented young cuatristas, coming from distant cities in Venezuela, realised how new and experimental the sound they made together was. Without losing the connection with traditional Venezuelan music, C4 Trío explores new sonorities and a more international repertoire for the instrument.

CAMBIANDO
Salsa Music – 9.30pm-till late
Cambiando is a 9-piece modern salsa band based in Cambridge, UK. The band (formed 2001) plays an awesome mix of exciting, sensual and hypnotic salsa. The group satisfies the salsa dancers with up-tempo hypnotic montunos and dramatic percussion while maintaining musical interest through the emphatic individual solos from each of the band members.
So come along and have fun with them on this very exciting journey.
