Max's Angels gave its first performance to the Mackenzie Society in Cambridge in the spring of 2005. It is a 7-strong ensemble including flute, soprano, strings and keyboard. It is mostly composed of scientists, but also includes members of the medical and teaching professions. While the repertoire is taken mainly from the baroque and classical repertoire, it is intended to introduce some popular items from the 1920s and 1930s. The aim of the group is to enjoy making music while raising funds for worthwhile causes.
