University of the Third Age (U3A)

The University of the Third Age in Cambridge is an independent, self financing organisation formed in 1982. Its aim is to provide education and social activities to those no longer in full-time employment and as such there are no age restrictions. Most of the tutors are themselves members. Other members arrange trips to museums, galleries, theatres and concerrts and occasionally organise short trips in this country and longer trips abroad.
