Thursday Lunch Group: July 2006

It was just like old times on the 20th of July - because Diane Hicks did the cooking for the Thursday group. Unfortunately she left before this photograph was taken.

As in life writ large, some things stay the same, others change, and some things change and stay the same anyway.

So how is change affecting the Thursday group? Well, Catherine Rees (front row: third from left)  left at the end of August to train as a social worker at Anglia Ruskin University. Catherine joined the staff of the Centre as a part-time administrator/community worker in March 2005. Among other things she has been responsible for coordinating the rotas of cooks and helpers for lunch on both Thursdays and Fridays. She also masterminded the trips to Walsingham in July 2005 and Hunstanton in July 2006. So that's the first change. 
 

Secondly, Mane Olivares (front row: second from right) has gone back to Chile. She had been in Cambridge for a couple of months during which time she came into the Centre as a volunteer twice a week.
