14 AUGUST: POST OLYMPIC SNAPS

The contractors have started to create the storage area (mainly for chairs - new colour "Moonshadow blue") and the servery in the north transept. The servery will have counter space, with a dishwasher, urn and fridge  allowing the Main Hall to be used as a completely self-contained entity. In other words, there will be no need to access the kitchen off the Lower Hall in future to provide refreshments. We're confident (ish) that all features of the new-look Main Hall, finished to a high standard, will meet with universal approval.
