UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE BOTANIC GARDEN
Artist John Wiltshire and Education Officer Sally Marsh organised a special treat for 8 members of the Centre's Thursday Lunch Group - a trip to the nearby Botanic Garden where John gave us a lesson in painting. After watching John, members of the group were equipped with an easel, brushes and a palette of acrylic paints and off they went. Some painted individual trees, others followed John's example and painted a view across the lake to the willow trees. The weather stayed fine and the egg mayonnaise sandwiches (with organic rolls) were as delicious as usual.
JQ, Yvette, Virginia, Nigel, Norman, Ray, Jenny and Hazel would like to thank Sally and John for making our day at the Botanic Garden so thoroughly enjoyable.
John Quysner, 25/08/2010
