THURSDAY GROUP BARBECUE WITH NIA EVANS
Because the Lower Hall floor was being relaid, we had to find an alternative location for Thursday lunch. We opted for outside in the garden. At 10 30 it was dismal, overcast and raining as befits an English summer's day. But by gosh, by golly, by 12 noon the sun was shining. The barbecue equipment was supplied and operated by Nia Evans of the City Council's Community Development, to whom we raise our hats. All things considered it was a unique experience - sitting outside eating sausages and burgers, waiting for the heavens to open. Which they duly did just as we were finishing. The sun had shone on the righteous once again!
