THURSDAY GROUP CELEBRATE NIGELS'S 70th

Thursday 2 July: the 70th birthday of the one and only, our very own keyboard wizard, Nigel Bloomer. Ursula played piano duets with Nick. JQ attempted to sing "Blue Moon". Nigel almost managed to blow out the candles on his cake (kindly baked by Lesley Thompson). Max came naked as nature intended from the waist up and insisted on eating his own sandwiches.

But that's not all folks. We were very pleasantly surprised by the appearance of our very good friend Michael Watson - accompanied by Zita and his sister in law and niece - after an absence of several weeks. Such was our delight in welcoming him in our midst we sang a rousing chorus of "Happy Un-birthday to you". Our other special guest was Little Emily - Balchin that is, with doting parents Sheila and Timothy. The occasion was highly enjoyable and the raspberries - courtesy of Cambridge Farmers Outlet - were particularly nice.
